DESCRIPTION: Renovation of a historically landmarked gymnasium built in 1924 for a new LEED for Healthcare certified center for evaluation and treatment of Autism. The treatment village in the existing gym lends scale to the space, while also functioning as a mnemonic way-finding device for patients and families. Careful detailing and integration of MEP systems with structural and architectural components provide maximum acoustic separation between treatment spaces.
